Although open-source methodologies have traditionally been used to develop computer programs, there is no barrier to open-source methodology being used for any collaborative work.

Together with David Ghandehari, I am working to create a website using Perl and mSQL to host the development of Boz!, a pencil-and-paper role-playing-game.

Site users will eventually be able to browse multiple versions of Boz!, which will be searchable and internally linked. By setting their preferences, users will be able to determine which version of the game they prefer, and even safe their preferences in 'releases', which can then be used by other site participants.

Users will be encouraged to offer feedback, rules, new mythology and culture, adventures, and will have the option of using the online character generator to both develop their character and share him with other site users.

Boz! will also be made available on CD and in a downloadable PDF, and may someday offer liscensing opportunities for those developing off-line media.

newbruins.com - Everything they didn't tell you in orientation

Newbruins.com is a lifestyle site which is the brain-child of Christopher Worley. Newbruins is intended for students new to the UCLA area, and had a phenomenal site launch, receiving 12,000 hits.

Newbruins supports online discussion boards, a weekly poll, development of in-house content, and community and lifestyle focused advice and media.

newbruins.com - Everything they didn't tell you in orientation Dovetail Construction

In development, I've created this site to host my brother's wood-working.

Focusing initially on academia, I had worked with Chris, Pat, and Karl for some stretch of time on this design firm which continues in Los Angeles.

iPalace.net

After graduating from college, I co-founded iPalace Inc. with Steven Cardinale. After working for two months and over 500 hours, we decided to terminate our relationship, that somewhat simple decision later involving a number of lawyers and consequently being quite private. Needless to say, while working with Steven I received an in-depth education in the practice of Law.

I also gained experience in marketing, business development, and an was the point of contact for human resources, hiring our team up to 9 people. Although this site is password protected, I developed the expansion strategy and competitive analysis portions of this site, as well as the assessment of risks and a couple other pages using Microsoft Front Page.

I also developed the marketing plan for this site, which is mentioned here because it included the portal and search engine strategy for the company. To this end I developed an obscene amount of focused pages so any user looking for anything vaguely related to anything sold by iPalace will be channeled to their sites.

Gourmet palace - for the gourmet enthusiast passionate about cooking

GourmetPalace is a cookware retailer wholly owned by iPalace Incorporated. While working with iPalace, I did some site work, focusing mostly on the development of product ratings and reviews (which is presently remarkably absent from the site.)

The work that I did upon the site was written in ASP and SQL, while the site itself was hosted by WinNT and IIS.

While working with the Office of Residential Life at UCLA as the Program Coordinator, I became frustrated with my inability to directly help my staff. By the third quarter of the year, my staff had become so competent that they no longer needed my help, and so I began to look for other ways to help them with their programming.

Trying to communicate that this wasn't a site for "thirty-something's", twentynothing.com was marketing with a three week long teaser campaign featuring the site logo and asking questions about the college experience.

Twentynothing hosted a great deal of art, poetry, and program information. At the end of the year, I removed the majority of the site content, and wrote a manual on the process of maintaining the site which was then passed on to my antecessor in the position. I am sad to note that the site has not been modified since.

Although Silverhouse.net was only recently re-designed, this was the first site which I ever developed. Originally purchased to provide myself with a stable email and market my brother's woodworking, silverhouse.net is now a marketing tool for the product called me.

The most recent alternative version of Silverhouse.net can be viewed here although a profusion of broken links will make it un-navigable.
